I went back to the doctor yesterday for my first time since surgery. I have not been able to remove the bandage, so yesterday was my first time seeing what it looked like. The incision is a little larger than expected. The root of the cyst ended up going a lot further than the doctor thought. She was not able to get it all, but got most of it, so hopefully it will not return. The recovery was not as bad as I expected. My foot was numb for quite a while and I still don't have feeling in about 1/4 of my foot. It could take a year to get all of my feeling back. Since the root of the cyst stretch so far, it did some damage to one of my nerves, but other nerves should grow and compensate for that particular nerve.
